Feast of the Baptism of Jesus

Good morning, happy Saturday and blessings my dear Holyrood family.

Tomorrow, Sunday, January 12, when we celebrate the Feast of the Baptism of Jesus, we will also enter our Annual Meeting as a vigorous and revitalized church.

We will have our Trilingual Mass (English, Spanish and ASL) at 11:00 am and at 1:00 pm our Assembly.

During the sermon we will be reflecting on the challenge that is being presented to us as believers and as a People's Church that "We always do our best." This is because God knows the quality and seriousness of our intentions. That is why we will be emphasizing in the book of Isaiah that the Church must become a light for our community to see. But with the Gospel of Matthew we will insist that God honored Jesus' humility at that time and is honoring ours at this time. And the Holy Spirit assisted Jesus at that time and is assisting us at this time. And we will close with the reading of the book of Acts where we will examine how Peter's negative prejudice towards the Gentile people could have deprived him of going to Cornelius' house. And in order to fulfill the mandate that Jesus had given him to go around the world making disciples he had to put aside the negative prejudices he had on some people. And we will learn that Jesus is asking us the same things: that we be lights in the midst of darkness; that we be humble people; and that we destroy all the negative prejudices that we have.

Do not stay home.
Come and celebrate in community the blessings of God.

Ministry at the time of Coronavirus (Covid 19): Prevent, cure and accompany

Now we have to shape what some have started calling; The Church at Home. Although I keep asking myself; What do those who do not have a home do? For this reason, at the same time, I am declaring today in our Holyrood Church a Lenten day of prayer, fasting and reading the Bible in the Time of the Coronavirus.
