The Joy of Generosity - Annual Giving Commitment Stewardship Matters-2020
The Episcopal Church views stewardship as more than simply contributing money to the church; it’s also about contributing time and talents, and volunteering for ministry and mission. It’s about reaching out to build relationships from a perspective of abundance instead of scarcity. Stewardship is about being grateful, responsible stewards of the gifts we receive from God. The tradition of giving back to God and to the church comes from the Biblical practice of “tithing,” which means to give back a tenth of our earnings to God (Numbers 18:26). It is about reaching out to build relationships from a perspective of abundance instead of scarcity.
Here at Holyrood/Santa Cruz’s our faith community strives to reach these goals of responsible stewardship daily with financial gifts as well as the donation of time and talent. We believe that in Stewardship, the practical works hand in hand with the spiritual.
We begin our stewardship campaign with this in mind: "Give All to the Least ... Follow Me" - Mark. 10:21. And when we talk about money, we can proudly say that we have transparency in our finances. We carry out economic reports every month and annual audits that are available to the congregation. Please fill out your form in prayer and love for your church. Learn to trust God also with your money.
Thanks and blessings,
