Week of Ordinary; Proper Nine

Sorry for absence on Monday as I had a very bad flu over the weekend, and I still needed rest. I hope to return tomorrow, Tuesday.
This week we enter Old Testament story of God’s spirit leaving King Saul and the beginning of David’s ascent, albeit still, as subservient to Saul. How can God who knows all things…couldn’t tell Saul was not fit to be a king? Or why couldn’t he make him…a perfect king? Are there times you, in the best wisdom let your children make their own mistakes for, um lesson? I wonder if…
In the Gospel readings, we wrap up Luke, and will move on to Mark.
Starting next Tuesday I will be away for two weeks on vacation. Please excuse my absence!
