The Red Corner of Fr. Luis

The negotiation of salvation took place between God and a woman.

Reading: In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee,  to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” Luke 1:26-28.

Good morning, happy Wednesday, and many blessings my dear family.

Mateo 18:12

Buenos días, feliz martes y muchas bendiciones mi querida familia.

Do I suffer from spiritual paralysis?

Reading: Some men came carrying a paralyzed man on a mat and tried to take him into the house to lay him before Jesus. Luke 5:18.

Good morning, happy Monday, and many blessings my dear family.

What is the healing that we wish to ask Jesus for?

Reading: Then he touched their eyes and said, “According to your faith let it be done to you” Matthew 9:29.

Good morning, happy Friday, and many blessings my dear family.

Jesus call me not merely to hear his word but to daily put it into action.

Reading: Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Matthew 7:24.

Good morning, happy Thursday, and many blessings my dear family.

Today’s Gospel (Matthew 7:21-27) is a very familiar one.  Once again, Jesus is preaching about the Kingdom of heaven.  He tells his listeners that any person who attends to His words and then acts on His words will build their house on the foundation of “rock.”

Mateo 7:24.

Buenos días, feliz jueves y muchas bendiciones mi querida familia.

Jesus had compassion for people with the different hungers in their lives especially the hunger for peace with justice.

Reading: Jesus called his disciples to him and said, “I have compassion for these people; they have already been with me three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry, or they may collapse on the way.” Matthew 15:32.

Good morning, happy Wednesday, and many blessings my dear family.

How will you respond when Jesus calls you today?

Reading: As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew. They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen. “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” Matthew 4:18-19.

Good morning, happy Tuesday, and many blessings my dear family.

Ministry at the time of Coronavirus (Covid 19): Prevent, cure and accompany

Now we have to shape what some have started calling; The Church at Home. Although I keep asking myself; What do those who do not have a home do? For this reason, at the same time, I am declaring today in our Holyrood Church a Lenten day of prayer, fasting and reading the Bible in the Time of the Coronavirus.
