Time is important for repentance

Good morning, happy Friday, and many blessings.

In Matthew 25:1-13, Jesus tells the Parable of the Ten Virgins, this message from the text asks the crucial question are we ready for Christ's return? There are several things we need to consider before we attempt to answer this question.

The challenge here is to stay alert by watching

Good morning, happy Thursday, and many blessings.

As we come to the close of Matthew 24 (today we are in Matthew 24:42-51), Jesus gives his disciples a parable to push home the truth of their need to "watch" for His coming. Remember, the Lord is here talking to his disciples, they have asked Him questions concerning; the destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, His parousia (coming back). Their question was basically two-fold; when will these things happen and what signs will precede them?

Rather, the parable of Jesus highlights God's generosity

Good morning, happy Wednesday, and many blessings my dear Holyrood.

Integrity should be a commandment of love in our lives

Good morning, happy Tuesday, and many blessings.

Let us be an instrument of bringing the Good News

Good morning, happy Monday, and many blessings.

With today’s gospel, John 1:45-51, three little reflections come to my mind.

Many people are called, but few are chosen

Good morning, happy Thursday, and many blessings.

Jesus' inclusion of the woman

Good morning, happy Friday, and many blessings.

In this gospel (Matthew 19:3-12), the Pharisees engage Jesus on the notion of marriage about which there was much controversy. All agreed that a man could divorce his wife. The dispute was about the grounds on which a man could divorce his wife. To be clear, the woman could not do the same.

Infinite forgiveness

Good morning, happy Thursday, and many blessings.

In yesterday’s Gospel we have heard the words of Jesus concerning fraternal correction (Matthew ‪18:15-20‬). In the Gospel today (Matthew 18:21-19:1) the central theme is pardon and reconciliation.

Reconciliation recipe

Good morning, happy Wednesday, and many blessings.

Ministry at the time of Coronavirus (Covid 19): Prevent, cure and accompany

Now we have to shape what some have started calling; The Church at Home. Although I keep asking myself; What do those who do not have a home do? For this reason, at the same time, I am declaring today in our Holyrood Church a Lenten day of prayer, fasting and reading the Bible in the Time of the Coronavirus.
