Now we have to shape what some have started calling; The Church at Home. Although I keep asking myself; What do those who do not have a home do? For this reason, at the same time, I am declaring today in our Holyrood Church a Lenten day of prayer, fasting and reading the Bible in the Time of the Coronavirus.
48th anniversary of the fall of the 4 Dominican heroes

On Saturday, January 11, 2020, to remember the 48th anniversary of the fall of the 4 Dominican heroes, Los Palmeros, the progressive littoral of the Dominican community in New York City, family and friends gathered at the Parish Hall of our Santa Cruz-Holyrood Church. That day, the Martyrs of the Battle of January 12, 1972, Amaury, Welcome, Cerón Polanco and Virgilio Perdomo were honored.
During the activity, a panel-conference was held with the community leaders Prof. Ramón Espínola, Pedro Papi Reyes and Prof. Marino Mejia.
There was also poetic reading and songs to The Palmeros by the poet Dio-genes Abreu and Singer Nery Olivares.
