Transformed

Good morning, happy Saturday and blessings.
 
I remind you that tomorrow Sunday we will be celebrating our Trilingual Mass at 11:00 am in the context of the celebration of the Day of the Transfiguration of Jesus and the challenges it presents in the Gospel of Matthew 17: 1-9. That is, beyond seeing a transfiguration Jesus is going to be inviting us to transform our lives.
 
During the sermon I will be arguing that it seems right to say that every morning Christian people experience - or should experience - a transfiguration, inner metamorphosis, a change, a conversion. Every day we have to fight, transforming our interior into a battlefield. We need to drown the old man and the old woman who drives us to go against God's will and strengthen the new person born in Christ with the Word.
I will also argue that Jesus can and desires to transform your fears, your sorrows, your lack of love and dedication to others. About sin you know that it is real and every day, but you should know that, under our appearance of perishable flesh, under such evil, Christ dwells by faith and we must let his justice shine. This is why he declared us Light of the world.
 
And I’m going to challenged you with these two key questions: What do you need to transform in your life? What are those areas of your personality or temperament that you should work on?
 
The task is simple. Search for Jesus. When you finally see it, your perspective will change in an instant. He may not always appear in the way you want him to, or in the way you think he should, but he will still be there. So, take care of it. And listen too. You will know when you hear it, that voice from heaven that sounds in your ear: "This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am very satisfied."
