Adoration Sunday Arrived; Let's go to Mass.

Good morning my dear Holyrood family, it is Sunday of worship, it is time to go to Mass: at 10:00 am in English and at 12:00 pm in Spanish & ASL.

We are aware of the seriousness of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and that is why we have been taking precautions during the liturgy for the past three weeks. If you cannot attend, we understand and respect it. If you need pastoral care in your home, please call me immediately.

Good morning, happy Wednesday and blessings.

 

The reflection for today is taken from the book of the prophet Micah, where you can appreciate a complaint from God with his people because they do not accept his proposal for life: «He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to practice solidarity love and to walk humbly with your God. (Micah 6:8).

 

What does God want from me? Very simple, to act with rectitude, honesty and integrity. And we can appreciate this in two conditions.

The Bible stresses that what you say is an accurate indication of what is in your heart. The Gospel of Luke 6:45 tells us: The good man or woman out of the good treasure of his/her heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for her or his mouth speaks from that which fills her or his heart.

Tomorrow Sunday we will have our Community Masses in English & ASL ‪at 10:00 am‬ and in Spanish ‪at 12:00 pm‬. We will be remembering Lent in the context of gender equality, celebrating International Women's Day
 

Growing

Good morning, happy Friday and blessings.

 

Today our reflection is in 1 Peter 2: 1-10, where the apostle Peter gives us some direct advice on living for Christ by eliminating things that put us in opposition one with others. It also reminds us of our spiritual birth and shows us that it is time to grow and move towards maturity in Christ! The challenge in this passage during Lent is that we, as Christian people, are called not to destroy, but to build the family, the church of God.

Ministry at the time of Coronavirus (Covid 19): Prevent, cure and accompany

Now we have to shape what some have started calling; The Church at Home. Although I keep asking myself; What do those who do not have a home do? For this reason, at the same time, I am declaring today in our Holyrood Church a Lenten day of prayer, fasting and reading the Bible in the Time of the Coronavirus.
