Jesus at the center

Allowing Christ to enter your home (and this may be the place where you live or simply your life) always has very beautiful consequences. From the Gospel of Mark (2: 1-12) we can identify a key question that will help us understand what happened. This narrative answer the following question:  What happens when Christ comes into your home?
 
First, Christ will bring joy to your home: A few days later, when Jesus again entered Capernaum, the people heard that he had come home (Mark 2:1). This meeting resulted in a great celebration full of joy.
 
Second, Christ will bring hope to your home (Mark 2:2a): So many gathered that there was no room left, not even outside the door. In a society so hopeless that we can regain hope is a triumph.
 
Third, Christ will bring wisdom to your home: ... and he preached the word to them (Mark 2:2b).  As in life decision making is of great importance, the fact that Christ brings us wisdom opens the way too many solutions. As the serenity prayer says: God give me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; strength to change those that I can change; and wisdom to distinguish both.
 
And fourth, Chris will bring healing and forgiveness to your home (Mark 2:5): When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralytic, “Son your sins are forgiven” (Mark 2:5). We are constantly in need of healing in all human areas: social, physical, emotional and spiritual. It's good that Christ heals us with his arrival.
 
Lesson for today: Keep Christ at the center of everything you do. “Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well” (Matthew 6:33). It really is as simple as that.
