Adoration Sunday

Adoration Sunday Arrived; Let's go to Mass.

Good morning my dear Holyrood family, it is Sunday of worship, it is time to go to Mass: at 10:00 am in English and at 12:00 pm in Spanish & ASL.

We are aware of the seriousness of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and that is why we have been taking precautions during the liturgy for the past three weeks. If you cannot attend, we understand and respect it. If you need pastoral care in your home, please call me immediately.

I will be in the Church this morning talking about the history of the Samaritan Woman a marginalized person, a person who is hated by many, a sinner who has a past similar to ours, and also a woman ashamed of being seen. But I will emphasize that Jesus approached this life-marked Samaritan woman, a sinner who could not even collect water around her own people. She had to wait until dark for them not to see her. And this is where we can see the beauty of the Love and Forgiveness of the Gospel, Jesus knows everything about this woman and still offers her the living water, the truth of the gospel and the knowledge of Almighty God, with open arms, not with words of condemnation. Perhaps this is the church paradigm that Jesus wants us to develop: let's get where the people in need are, let's not make judgments of condemnation and let’s offer the water of life of Jesus.

Have a nice day. Blessings.

Fr. Luis
